Advent Devotional Delivered to Your Box

Every year the seminary that I attended (Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary) publishes an Advent Devotional guide.  The daily readings are typically brief but meaty little readings that give you pause to be thoughtful about the season of Advent.
This year my wife and I were talking about re-typing these devotions and e-mailing them to congregational members.  We thought it might be a convenient wonderful daily touch of grace.  I suggested that we get permission from the seminary.  After some brainstorming and a few phone calls, viola!–there now exists www.adventdevotional.blogspot.com.
Go by and check it out.  I have posted the first devotion as a sample.   Or if you trust my judgement after reading The Practical Disciple, then just subscribe right now using the box below.   Subscribers will get daily copies of the devotional throughout Advent.  When the season is over, that will be the end of it.  If it goes well, I will offer something similar during Lent.

I am going to subscribe because I know me.  There is a good chance that my little booklet will get misplaced and I will miss days here and there.  On the other hand, nothing comes between me and my e-mail box.  If that sounds like you too, then I encourage you to subscribe now. Lastly, I want to thank Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary for graciously allowing the use of their devotional guide.  Blessings from The Practical Disciple.
p.s.  FYI–I will be reposting the first devotion on the first Sunday in Advent to ensure e-mail on that day.  For those who subscribe prior to then, this may be an additional copy.
