URGENT: Please Add Your Prayers To Our Prayer Labyrinth

For several weeks, my son, Matthew has been laboring to construct a prayer labyrinth for his Eagle Scout project. I am very proud that he chose to create a prayer labyrinth to be a blessing to our community. He would love to symbolic wrap prayers from around the world into his project. … (but the window to be involved is VERY short–before Friday midnight, Sept. 19, US central standard time)
 
For those of you unfamiliar with what a prayer labyrinth is, check it out here. Matt’s labyrinth is being made from stone pavers. We have been hand cutting the stones to create the design. It will be twenty three feet in diameter and contain over 9,000 lbs of materials. Whew! That’s a lot of rock.
 
Before we set all that stone we are placing people’s prayers in the foundation. This is a way of symbolically joining people’s prayers with the prayers of future labyrinth walkers and our community.

What a great way to spiritually involve a much MUCH broader body of Christ in this beautiful endeavor.
 
Whatever you want as a prayer can be included. All you have to do is enter your prayer in the contact box below by midnight Friday, Sept. 30th.
 
Our congregation placed their prayers on wooden tokens tonight to be placed in the sand beneath the stones. People prayed prayers of all sorts:

• blessings for our community
• word’s of gratitude
• petition for friends
• and much more.

Saturday morning we will print out your prayer, ask God’s blessing on it, and then include a copy in the foundation of the labyrinth.
 
We think this could be a beautiful testimony of the breadth and depth of God’s great family.   Complete strangers, whose only connection is their mutual love of Jesus Christ, intertwining their prayers in this way–How inspiring is that?
