Facebook live tips…

If you see me on Facebook live, click on it and drop a comment and/or give me some kind of Facebook love using the emojis. Facebook is really pushing video right now and they do so based upon how people are interacting with your lifestream.  The more people interacting, the more they will push out into timelines.  Even if you miss it live, please follow-up with a like, share and/or comment.  All of this while only taking a moment makes a huge difference.

2. Recommend directly

Nothing works better for spreading the word than direct word of mouth.  Message a friend using any of the above announcements or tell people in your Sunday school class, prayer group, or other small group.  Below is a sample note you can send your pastor or whoever prepares your newsletter.

“I have a friend, Rev. John Arnold, who has a blog on discipleship called The Practical Disciple.  Each article focuses on practical advice on how to study the bible, pray, and live out your purpose.  I find his materials very helpful.  You can check it out at https://thepracticaldisciple.com.

He’s recently released a Practical Disciple Podcast as well.  I think many of our members would benefit from his articles and podcasts.  Could you put this announcement in our newsletter?

“Free Online Discipleship Resource — If you are looking for easy step-by-step instructions on bible study, prayer, or living out your purpose, check out the blog www.ThePracticalDisciple.com.  The author, Rev. John Arnold, shares actionable advice on how to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. You can also listen to The Practical Disciple Podcast on iTunes and Stitcher Radio.”

Feel free to adapt this as needed for our church newsletter, bulletin, or website.  Thanks.

3. Subscribe, Rate and Review in iTunes

If you have an iTunes account, PLEASE take just a few minutes to subscribe, rate and/or review the podcast. It’s uber easy to do. I’ve even shot a short video on how to do it to take all the guess work out.

Why this is so important?

iTunes ranks podcasts based off of downloads, rates, and reviews. The more of those I have the higher The Practical Disciple Podcast gets placed on iTunes charts.

If I get enough subscribers, rates, and reviews, The Practical Disciple Podcast could get placed in iTune’s “New and Noteworthy” section.  That would help a ton of people find the podcast.  But the podcast is only eligible for that during the first eight weeks.  So please, subscribe, rate and review if at all possible as soon as possible.

You can access the podcast page by clicking this link and then clicking “View in iTunes” beneath my picture on the page you’ll be sent to.

Again thank you so very much. You are a blessing and my Podcast Hero!
